S&S, Top End Guardian kit

This kit is the ideal choice for a direct upgrade of OEM parts, with no modifications required. Designed to identify and eliminate the weak points in the OEM M8 rocker arm design. Especially recommended when switching to a high-performance camshaft (+.550" lift) and for improving overall performance. This kit combines several S&S assemblies to deliver a complete top end kit including everything needed to keep the engine reliable at high power and torque figures. This Top End Gardian kit includes the S&S 917702 rocker arm shafts, 66% stronger, which replace OEM 17300059B. The S&S 587241 rocker arm nut and rod kit, which replaces OEM bolts 10200503 to prevent rocker arms from coming loose and excessive wear on the tower rods. The S&S 576972 cylinder head bolt set, cold rolled, heat treated and with a tensile strength of 200,000 psi, replaces OEM head bolts 10200303. The S&S 597871 roller rocker arms prevent excessive push and stress on the valves, as occurs with higher-lift camshafts at high RPM.
