Total Seal is the leading company in innovative ideas and development for segments, having conducted numerous tests to resolve the complexity of sealing the cylinder-piston interface under all conditions, including: high RPMs, large piston diameters (Big Bore), high temperatures, and other severe conditions. Total Seal offers two types of piston rings for Harley-Davidson: TS1 and TSS. TSS sets are designed for normal street use. They feature a top ring made of cast iron, coated with molybdenum, of the same high quality used by the factory. The second ring is a patented "Gap-less" design by Total Seal, also applied in the TS1 sets. Total Seal’s "Gap-less" design eliminates the issue of ring gap exposure, keeping the gap "closed" as the ring and cylinder wall wear. TS1 ring sets are the highest quality available. The top ring is made of "Moly Max" plasma-ductile iron, resistant to extreme temperatures and detonation. Suitable for nitro, turbocharged, and nitrous oxide injection engines. Total Seal recommends these rings for prepared street engines, particularly if the compression ratio has been increased. The second ring is also "Gap-less" and identical across all applications. It consists of two rings, engineered to ensure gas leakage remains below 2% throughout the ring’s lifespan. This "Gap-less" ring performs so effectively that reduced gas blow-by lowers oil temperature. The oil scraper in TS1 sets is a three-piece design with a stainless steel support and tool steel rails with chrome-plated faces. Total Seal ring sets are sold for one piston only, available in standard and oversize dimensions.

 Note: For cylinder bores of 3 3/4", 3 13/16", 4", 4 1/4", 4 3/8" and 4 1/2" only, we offer TS1 type rings. We do not offer all sizes for Big Bore. It may be necessary to fit a larger size than the desired one.
