Note: The 8, 12, 16 and 20" Overstock Springer forks come with a 3° positive offset and require the use of a special centre piece (981460 chrome or 981461 black) to mount the recent-style handlebar risers.
Note: Forks with positive offset (wheel further forward) offer less trail than an in-line fork. When using a custom frame with a raked neck, trail increases. Increased trail is acceptable as long as it is in a straight line. The motorcycle may become heavy to steer at low speed, tend to fall into the turn and exhibit excessive wheel 'flop' when stationary. To overcome these problems, trail must be reduced, which is achieved with a positive trail fork. For this reason, only Overstock length Springer forks with positive trail are offered.
