The Spyke 1.4 KW starter motors offer 200% more torque than the standard starter motors for 65-88 Big Twin models, using a standard battery. This is thanks to the special gear reduction system used. High-power starter motors have the drawback of requiring special batteries to actually deliver the power they are capable of. The short overall length, clean look and various finishes make this starter motor optically very appealing. Proven, tested and demonstrated quality automotive industry internal components are used. The special gear reduction design also allows this starter motor to turn over most high-compression Big-Inch engines without the need for a special (large) battery.
