This 1.4 KW Spyke starter offers 46% more torque than stock starters, with a standard battery, thanks to the special gear reduction system. High-power starters have the disadvantage of requiring special batteries to actually deliver the power they are capable of. The short overall length, clean look and various finishes make this starter visually very attractive. Automotive industry internal components are used, of proven, tested and demonstrated quality. The Spyke starter has a much better clutch gear than OEM starters, which are sometimes considered prone to failure. The special gear reduction design allows this starter to turn over most high-compression Big-Inch engines without the need for a special (large) battery.
