Chrome vented outer primary covers

These vented primaries are specifically designed for a belt of up to 1 3/4". The ventilation slots supply increased airflow to keep the belt cool and thus extend its service life. For 1970-1984 4-speed Big Twin and 5-speed Softail up to 1988. The cover is prepared to be installed on 8-hole primaries, but also has a flat boss that can be drilled when a ninth hole is required. Installation on FL models with platforms requires drilling and tapping the mounting bracket on that boss in front of the inspection cover. The starter shaft needle bearing must be ordered separately.
