S&S precision hydraulic tappets

These S&S hydraulic lifters have bodies machined from solid steel using high-precision CNC machinery, and are hardened to obtain the desired resistance to wear and fatigue. They also feature a high-precision ball-type valve that is more precise than the original system. The ball is self-cleaning and seals better, making it less susceptible to noise caused by dirt in the valve. The plunger is precision ground and fitted to tolerances of hundredths of a millimetre, to ensure optimal operation. The pushrod seat is of exclusive design and employs a special system to better control oil flow between lifter and pushrod. Its strong one-piece design makes it very durable and guarantees its operation at any engine speed. Sold in sets of 4. Available with HL2T travel limiters installed. These improve cold starts and offer greater high-speed valve timing accuracy. Lifters with H2LT travel limiters require the use of adjustable pushrods.
