These hydro-solid lifters have the same "race-proof" quality as the Fat Axle lifters, but offer the best combination of solid and hydraulic lifters. They act as a hydraulic lifter up to 5,500 RPM and above that as a solid lifter, adding around 3 to 6 horsepower. These lifters have been precision machined, then heat treated, and finally ground to an accuracy of .0002", with a 16 finish. They are called "Fat Axle" because they have a reinforced roller that will not deform, even with high-lift camshafts. Strongly recommended with high-performance camshafts, as they prevent hydraulic system collapse. These lifters are extremely competitively priced yet remain the best you can buy. Fits with adjustable pushrods on Evolution Big Twin 1984-1999 and Evolution Sportster 1986-1990. The lifters have a diameter of .8425" and are sold individually.
