These chrome-plated, U-shaped braces have been specially designed to align and adjust the position of the gearbox. They allow you to align the primary shaft so that it is exactly parallel to the crankshaft, essential if you are running an open belt or sheet metal primary. Once you have aligned the gearbox, it is bolted on with the 4 mounting nuts. For all 4-speed Big Twins from 1958 to 1986 (except FXST).
