These clutch pushrods are made from long-lasting 4140 material. The pushrod's adjuster screw end has been heat treated for maximum strength. Up to early 1984, all 4-speed Big Twin transmissions had a one-piece clutch pushrod. In late 1984, this changed to a three-piece design, as first introduced in 1979 on the first 5-speed Harleys.
