Wera 17/19 Joker double open-ended spanner

The Joker has a 12-point non-angled head, so it requires only 30° of working space; otherwise it works like a conventional open-end spanner. The dark metal plate serves a dual function: it acts as a retainer, preventing the nut from sliding off the spanner head, or it holds the nut. At 30° away, the retaining metal plate allows the nut to slide or grip, as the plate is equipped with a hardened serrated edge. The teeth on this edge 'bite' into rounded nuts, loosening them where other spanners simply slip. Colour coded by size.
