Note: Does not include head gaskets, as XR1000 models were never fitted from the factory with head gaskets. Originally, the steel (iron) cylinders and high-performance aluminium heads are bolted together without the use of any type of head gasket. For this reason, Athena does not offer head gaskets. The use of any sealing solution between head and cylinder would be non-standard.
Note: Some apply spray paint to the gasket surface as an additional sealant. This is not a factory solution and is not recommended; do so at your own risk.
