The bore must be reamed and hone to the piston size after installation.
The original Sportsman block has a cylinder liner cast into the cylinder. The cylinder must be bored to accept the new cylinder liner. The cast liner will not be completely removed. The liner is designed to be inserted into the iron-lined cylinder.
The original Scrambler cylinder bore is chrome-plated alloy, Nikasil or electrofused. The cylinder must be rebored to accept the new cylinder sleeve.
