Technical tip: Rocker rollers / cam follower rollers can fail without warning, spilling the needle bearings inside the engine. This can cause serious damage to the breather valve, cam, pinion, oil pump drive gears, oil pump, rocker blocks, crankcase, etc. To avoid this, install new rocker arm assemblies or a rocker roller repair kit periodically, roughly every 60,000 km or at every major service. The cost of a new set of rollers can be minimal compared to the total cost of a single rocker roller failing and spilling its needle bearings into your engine.
