JIMS 5-Speed transmission cases for 4-speed Big Twin - Gear shift shaft spacer #33114-79

These cases are manufactured from 356-T6 aluminium and machined using state-of-the-art CNC equipment. This 4-speed to 5-speed conversion case is designed for Big Twin-style 4-speed chassis with 1970-1984 Shovelhead-style primary drive lines and chain final drives. These cases also accept most OEM and aftermarket 5-speed bearings, seals, and other components designed for 1985-1989 Big Twin-style 5-speed transmissions. The OEM cover will require minor modifications to fit this case. All modifications are detailed in the accompanying instructions. The Jims 4-speed to 5-speed transmission case is not compatible with the factory H-D belt primary drive used on the 1980-1983 FXSB Sturgis. For applications using an existing 4-speed primary drive line, a 5-speed chain-style main shaft from 1980-early 1984 and a 1980-early 1984-style main drive gear must be used. These components are compatible with the OEM clutch hub featuring a tapered inner diameter used on 4-speed Big Twins. The basic case assemblies include the transmission case, shift lever adjustment screw, shift shaft guide, and all necessary bolts and pins for assembly. To ensure a straightforward and hassle-free installation, the bolts and pins are pre-installed by Jims prior to dispatch. The special secondary shaft bearing, internal primary bearing, and main shaft adapter spacer are not included but must be ordered separately.
