583 Easy Start camshaft kit

Facilitates starting by initially reducing compression; once the engine starts and revs increase, the decompression lobe retracts centrifugally and the engine runs normally, with full compression and no loss of performance
Optimised as a versatile camshaft for Softail and Dyna, but usable on any Big Twin
Delivers high torque and power at low revs
Maximum power between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm on Softail and Dyna models
Bolt-on installation
Includes camshafts, gear cover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, O-ring, threadlocker and instructions.
Manufactured in the USA
The installer must check the spring closure, valve clearance and valve-to-piston distance.
Not suitable for models with OEM decompressors.
Not recommended for compression ratios of 10.0:1 or higher.
Includes set of 4 gears.
Due to the inherent characteristics of gear drives, there may be more noise in the valve train.
