High-performance purple silicone-based brake and clutch fluid, designed to lubricate and protect critical brake system components whilst providing reliable braking power. The anti-vapourisation formulation maintains responsiveness and performance by combating vapourisation and viscosity loss. Its advanced chemistry resists corrosion and oxidation, and is compatible with SBR, EPDM and natural rubber. It offers a very high dry boiling point, is non-aggressive and is safe for paint, plastic surfaces, clothing, etc. Please note that DOT 5 silicone fluid is not hygroscopic, so it does not absorb water like conventional brake fluids. Therefore, the brake system must be 100% drained to prevent pockets of water remaining anywhere in the system, which could cause vapourisation and total brake failure. DOT 5 silicone fluid is not very resistant to foaming and is therefore not compatible with ABS or ASR/TCS systems. DOT 5 silicone fluid cannot be mixed with other brake fluids. Exceeds the requirements of the US FMVSS 116 DOT 5 specification.
Note: For use in all hydraulic clutch systems and all brake systems specifying DOT 5 silicone brake fluids. Do not use in brake systems specifying DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluids. Do not mix with DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluids. Do not use in ABS or ASR/TCS systems.
