Hand tool used to restore up to 60% of damaged threads on parts with internal threads. Includes a hardened HSS tool steel blade. The cutting blade extends or retracts by turning the knurled knob. After retracting the blade and inserting the tool, the knob is turned to extend the cutter towards an intact thread section. It automatically adjusts to the thread pitch as the blade is guided by the intact sections of the thread. The yellow nylon counteracts the cutting blade forces and prevents friction wear on the internal threads. Compatible with threads from M8 to M11 or 5/16" to 7/16" in diameter.
