13.1" (333mm) Standard length; Standard springs; Black anodised. Excellent replacement single rear shock absorber. Manufactured with a hard anodised black aluminium body, high-pressure nitrogen filled, with a large 46mm bore and deflective disc damping. Includes standard thread or RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) located behind the passenger's left footpeg, for easy-access adjustments. Rebound damping is adjustable in 5 positions. Available in stock, as well as over- and under-lengths to suit the various stock Softail model lengths.
What are Progressive Suspension 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, STD Duty is probably your best option; heavy duty shocks will give a firmer ride. For large riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best option. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
