It features a high-pressure nitrogen monotube with deflecting disc technology and a linear rate spring to deliver the most consistent feel throughout the shock's travel, both on the road and on the track. Manual preload and rebound adjustment. A compression (jounce) bumper designed with an integrated metal cup softens and controls the bottoming-out impact.
What is the difference between Progressive Suspension's 'STD Duty' and 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a light rider with a light passenger, the STD Duty series is probably your best choice; the Heavy Duty shocks would offer a firmer feel. For larger riders with a lot of luggage, the Heavy Duty springs are the right choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it is different.
The use of Heavy Duty shock absorbers or springs is recommended on motorcycles operating at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time.
