PS, Model 944 shock absorber set. 12.5". Heavy duty. Black

944 series With matt black components and gold compensator spring.
For Touring models. Designed with dual springs to lower the bike by 1" both on the move and on the side stand. Retains full travel and length for a smooth, uncompromising ride. Includes FST (Frequency Sensing Technology) that dynamically adjusts damping according to the road surface. The 12.5" Ultra Low version lowers Street Glides by 1" and most other Touring models by 2", with minimal loss in ride quality.
What is the difference between Progressive Suspension's 'STD Duty' and 'Heavy Duty' shocks?
If you are a lightweight rider with a lightweight passenger, STD Duty is probably your best choice; heavy duty shocks would give a harsher ride. For big riders with a lot of luggage, Heavy Duty springs are the best choice. Heavy Duty is not better, it's different.
It is recommended to use Heavy Duty shocks or springs on motorcycles that operate at or near the manufacturer's maximum load for more than 50% of the time. In short: Standard (suitable for combined rider weights up to 250 lbs / 113 kg), Heavy-Duty (250 lbs / 113 kg to 350 lbs / 159 kg) and Super Duty (350 lbs / 159 kg and over).
