Voltage regulator rectifier

Controls voltage in Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators; unlike other rectifiers or regulators that ground discharge, causing higher current in the stator and elevated temperatures.
Cycle regulators/rectifiers block current until control voltage is reached
This reduces stator current, resulting in lower temperature and less friction in the engine, which translates to more efficient operation.
