Complete kit with everything you need to turn your engine into a high-power beast. Increases your engine's capacity from 88" to 124". The kit includes stroker crankshaft flywheels, big bore cylinders and a flat-top piston kit offering a 10.8:1 compression ratio with the included 91cc high-flow heads. The Easy Start 640 gear cams provide the lift needed to let this engine breathe, while ensuring easy starting with the stock starter and battery.
Note 1: Stock cases must be machined to accept the 4-1/8" big bore cylinders. The kit adds .096" to engine height, but fits in the stock frame.
Note 2: You will be building a serious high-performance engine. Therefore, it is not compatible with the stock ignition and stock throttle body (too small). A large throttle body, such as the S&S 58mm single-bore 558678, is recommended, and a high-performance ECU is required. Carburetted engines will require an ignition system with adjustable advance curves and a large carburettor, such as the S&S Super G or similar. The kits are machined to be compatible with stock headers.
Note 3: S&S recommends the JIMS MCS 978519 crankcase bearing insert, for 03-17 Twin Cam models, to replace the stock roller bearing with the stronger old-style Timken bearing. See MCS 978517 for the required JIMS tool. The correct Timken bearing can be ordered as MCS 508960 / OEM 9028.
