S&S, 88" to 97" big bore cylinder and piston kit. Silver

Silver powder-coated cylinders. No case boring required. With a 3.927" bore, S&S considers this the largest bore that can be used safely with the stock crankcase spigots. Fits 88" Big Twin models with stock 4" stroke and increases displacement to 97". Compression ratio of 9.7:1 with stock 85cc cylinder heads, 10.3:1 with S&S 79cc heads. The forged pistons require no flywheel rebalancing and the valve pockets are enlarged to accommodate larger diameter valves and higher lift camshafts.
Note: S&S does not recommend boring OEM cylinders to such a large bore due to possible loss of structural integrity. Only one oversize piston size (517503) is available for this kit.
