S&S, 96" to 106" big bore cylinder and piston kit. Silver

Cylinders with silver powder coating. No crankcase boring required. With a 3.927" bore, S&S considers this to be the largest bore that can be safely used with the standard crankcase stud pattern. With an S&S .585 cam kit, S&S teardrop air filter and S&S mufflers, the S&S 106" test bike showed a very noticeable increase from 60 to 91 horsepower. The forged pistons require no flywheel rebalancing and the valve pockets are enlarged to accommodate larger diameter valves and higher lift cams. Compatible with 96" Big Twin models with standard 4-3/8" stroke and increases displacement to 106". 10:1 compression ratio with standard S&S 89cc heads and 10.7:1 with S&S 79cc heads.
Note: S&&S does not recommend boring OEM cylinders to such a large diameter due to the possible loss of structural integrity. Only one oversize piston (917501) is available for this kit.
