S&S, conversion piston kit 883-1200. Std

Converts a stock 883cc or 1100cc Sportster to 1200cc. Provides a 9.5:1 compression ratio with stock cylinder heads. Requires boring the stock cylinders to the standard 1200 bore of 3-1/2" (see note). No other modifications required. Compatible with stock 883 heads and cylinders; stock crankcases require no machining. Kit includes forged pistons, rings, wrist pin clips and retainers.
Note: For 04-22 XL 883 models, 1200cc cylinders must be purchased. The standard cylinder liners on 04-22 XL models are too thin to be bored out to 1200 size.
Note: In all applications, the technician must assess the suitability of the components in combination with the other engine components before installation. It is important that a qualified mechanic carries out the installation and makes the necessary adjustments. The rider must follow standard break-in and riding procedures for rebuilt engines.
