S&S camshaft kit, chain-driven M8 HPT496C

Chain drive as standard.
The largest direct mount camshaft for huge gains in power and torque.
S&S measured on the dynamometer: 2023 Low Rider ST with HPT496 cam, Stealth air filter, Super Street exhaust, maximum power 120.73 @ 5770 RPM and maximum torque 127.04 @ 3230 RPM. 2023 Low Rider ST all stock: Maximum power 91.2 @ 4680 RPM and maximum torque 119.2 @ 2960 RPM.
Compatible with all stock components, but requires high-flow air filter and exhaust silencers. With every cam change, S&S recommends its 583903 precision lifter kit set. This kit includes the cam, all required bearings, O-rings and hardware. Gear-driven cams provide greater precision in valve timing, but generate more mechanical noise compared to chain-driven cams. The additional mechanical noise is why the original equipment manufacturers use chain-driven cams.
Note: For best performance, as with all high performance cams, the use of a high flow air filter and exhaust system is recommended.
