S&S, Shovel pin guides for Evo pins

Polished. Allows the improved hydraulics of Evo lifters to be used in a Shovel. When installing these forged aluminium lifter blocks in a Shovel engine, you must use Evolution Big Twin hydraulic lifters (86-99), an Evo style camshaft and S&S Quickee pushrods. If desired, you can oil the top end through the pushrods (with Quickee pushrods 512497), Evolution style, when using S&S Shovel roller rocker arms (512493).
Note: An Evo camshaft will have approximately 9% less valve lift due to the lower Shovelhead S&S rocker ratio (1.5), compared to the original Evo rocker ratio (1.625). The original Shovelhead rocker ratio is 1.43.
Note: Adjustable pushrods are required. The pushrod retainers/clips/keepers 512511 are also needed when using the Evo-style lifter blocks 512494 for Shovel. Since these lifter blocks are longer, a shorter retainer 2.800" in length is required for correct pushrod tube cap spring tension.
