When you feel you need a lot of hand effort to pull the clutch, the variable pressure clutch (VPC) is the ultimate solution. The VPC gives you reduced spring pressure at idle, but when revving the bob weights use centrifugal force to exert more pressure on the clutch than could be achieved with a high-performance clutch spring. It makes the clutch lever easier to work from idle up to 3,000 RPM, the area where most people need to pull the clutch to change gear.
Some features of the variable pressure clutch:
 • Centrifugal force in the drive causes the bob weights to act as a Lock Up clutch.
 • Reduces clutch lever effort by up to 60% at idle on OEM engines
 • Improved clutch engagement on acceleration
 • Improved clutch disengagement and feel
 • It is easier to find neutral
 • Clutch pull becomes heavier as RPMs increase
• Sportster XL 1991-1993 kits with a 1994-2003 primary cover, derby cover and clutch release mechanism
• Sportster 1200 1994-2002 Buell S1, S2, S3 and X1 kits
• You can install a more robust diaphragm spring when your performance requirements increase.
