Dakota adjustment unit for electronic speedometers

The Dakota electronic speedometer calibration unit plugs directly into the original sockets from 1996 models with electronic speedometers. Models such as Sportster from 2004,  Dyna 2006-2017 and Softail and Touring from 2007 require wiring into the standard harness. Speed correction can compensate for the Harley factory margin of error, generally 3-5% of actual speed reading. If a correction is made beyond this, it may result in loss of the sixth gear indicator light and cruise control. This unit allows you to correct the speedometer and odometer reading after a change in tyre size, the pulley or when a different transmission has been installed (different ratio or 6-speed). Two sealed push-button switches allow you to increase or decrease the speedometer reading whilst riding the bike. After setting the speedometer to the correct reading, the unit stores the correction factor, even with the battery disconnected. The module is fully sealed against water, dust and dirt. The correction range is 50%-200% of the original reading. Small steps allow correction within 1MPH or 1KPH.
