- Open end.
The Joker has a 12-point head with no angle, so it requires only 30° of working space; otherwise it works like a conventional open-end spanner. The dark metal plate serves a dual function: it acts as a retainer, preventing the nut from sliding off the spanner head, or it holds the nut. At an additional 30°, the retaining metal plate allows the nut to slide off or grip it, as the metal plate is fitted with a hardened serrated edge. The teeth of this edge "bite" into rounded nuts, loosening them where other spanners simply slip.

The head of the case is inclined 15° to the handle. Includes a switch for ratchet direction and a very fine 80-tooth ratchet for a return angle of only 4.5°.
