More power than a standard 2 kW starter motor, with only half the current draw. Comes with high-energy neodymium magnets, efficient windings and a 6:1 planetary gear reduction that allows easier starting of high-compression engines.
Note: Fuel injected engines require a faster cranking speed than carburettor models. See 538421 (chrome) or 538422 (black) for the identical starter motor, suitable for injection models.
Note: Standard starter motors are 1.4 kW. This 2.0 kW starter motor may require a more powerful battery to actually generate the power it is rated for.
