Hastings piston ring set, 2-3/4" diameter. +.020"

Compatible with late-style 1950-1973 pistons with 1/16" parkerised grey cast iron compression rings and 3-piece chrome flex-vent oil rings. Also suitable for 52-56 K, KH, KHK Flathead models of 55" (900cc).
Standard diameter: 2.745" (69.723mm).
1st ring: 1.6mm.
2nd ring: 1.6mm.
Oil seal: 4.75mm.
Note: 1929-1949 OEM pistons are equipped with 3/32" (2.3mm) 1st and 2nd rings and a 1/8" (3.2mm) oil ring; for these Hastings rings see the 1950-1973 Flathead models. These rings are not compatible with the early type 1929-1949 pistons.
Technical tip: Piston grooves vs. piston rings.
It is not difficult to determine whether a Hastings piston ring set will fit a particular piston. You must measure the piston groove height on the piston itself. The top 2 grooves are for the compression rings and the bottom groove for the oil ring. In most cases, Hastings oil rings are the low-tension 3-piece flex-vent type. Ring heights are listed for reference.
Technical tip: Piston oversizes.
For each oversize, the cylinder diameter increases by .010" (0.254mm). The standard cylinder diameter is given for reference purposes.
