S&S, piston kit 3-1/2" diameter 8:1CR. +.020"

Standard 8:1 compression. Used as a stock replacement for 1340 (80") Shovelhead models with 3-1/2" bore and stock 4-1/4" stroke. These S&S forged pistons are made from an advanced alloy and skirt profiles, resulting in a quiet engine and long service life, characteristics previously only achievable with cast pistons. This is an excellent option for rebuilding your original 1340cc Shovelhead.
Note: S&S piston fitting recommendations: Tight fit .0030" to .0035", loose fit .004" to .005".
Note: In all applications, the technician must be able to assess the suitability of the components in combination with the other engine components before installation. It is important that a skilled mechanic performs the installation and any necessary adjustments. The rider must follow standard break-in and riding procedures for rebuilt engines.
