Gear-driven transmission.
The largest bolt-in camshaft, delivering massive power and torque gains.
S&S dyno tested: 2023 Low Rider ST with HPT496 camshaft, Stealth air cleaner, Super Street exhaust, maximum power 120.73 @ 5770 RPM and maximum torque 127.04 @ 3230 RPM. 2023 Low Rider ST all stock: Maximum power 91.2 @ 4680 RPM and maximum torque 119.2 @ 2960 RPM.
Compatible with all stock components, but requires a free-flowing air filter and exhaust silencers. With every camshaft change, S&S recommends its 583903 precision tappet set. This camshaft and gear kit includes camshaft, drive gear and driven gear on the camshaft. Includes all necessary bearings, O-rings and hardware. Gear-driven camshafts provide greater valve timing precision and a more solid mechanical sound compared to chain-driven camshafts.
Note: For best performance, as with all high-performance camshafts, the use of a free-flowing air filter and exhaust system is recommended.
