Complete Dyna-S dual ignition kit with single coil. The mechanical advance unit must be purchased separately.
Note: Difference between single and dual ignition:
- Dual fire: This is how earlier, pre-Twin Cam engines operated. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. It is the simplest system. The "wasted" spark is said to reduce power.
- Single fire: This is how stock Twin Cam / M8 engines (00-up) operate. Two independent coils fire the spark plugs; only the spark plug in the cylinder on the compression stroke fires. These engines are said to vibrate less and improve power. The effects are more noticeable with more aggressive camshafts and higher RPMs.
