S&S, sump assembly 92-99, STD diameter. Natural

S&S Superstock™ sump casings, manufactured from 356-T6 aluminium, are significantly stronger than OEM sump casings. OEM casings can fracture in high-performance applications or even in standard applications, as many have discovered at their own expense. These S&S Superstock™ casings can be used for both standard replacement and competition purposes. For the engine builder, the considerable labour savings achieved by using S&S casings are essential. These casings are supplied ‘prepared’ with Timken main bearing seats for the crankshaft and needle bearings for the camshaft installed, as well as the press-fit and ground-in-line main bearing seat for the pinion shaft. Additional parts supplied include Timken bearings for the crankshaft, cylinder studs, nickel-plated sump bolts, sump fittings, oil pressure sensor, timed and magnetic sump drain plugs, and a special S&S alternator stator clamp bolt. The flywheel scraper is machined to fit original 8-1/2" diameter flywheels. S&S casings maximise oil suction efficiency in the sump via a ‘ported’ venting design. S&S casings are interference-free up to and including 5", so no further clearance adjustments are required for stroker crankshafts. S&S casings are supplied complete with fitting instructions.
