S&S, Shovel to Panhead cylinder head conversion kit. 3-5/8"

3-5/8" big bore cylinder. Used on Shovel engines with Panhead-style heads. Head conversion kit for 1966 to 1984 Shovelheads. These are Panhead-look heads, similar to those used by S&S on their P-series engines. These are actually S&S Shovelhead-based heads, fitted only with Panhead-style rocker covers, so the assembly is basically identical to that made with S&S Shovelhead heads. The timing drive system is based on the Evo Big Twin, so Evo hydraulic units, Evo forged alloy tappet guides, Quickee pushrods with superior lubrication through the rod itself, special P-series rocker shafts, S&S Shovelhead rocker frame and roller rockers are used. They are compatible with Shovelhead cylinders as they use the original Shovel head bolt pattern and the original Shovel-style fire ring. For the intake, original Shovel O-ring-style intake manifolds can be used. The exhaust mounting is also original Shovelhead style. The heads come complete with valves and a 0.590" lift valve spring kit installed. The kit comes complete as shown.
Note: One or more of the following parts may need to be ordered separately:
1) O-ring style manifold 66-E78.
2) Original 1970 engines require an L78-87 style sprocket, as an Evo B.T. camshaft must be used.
3) 1984 to 1999 Evo B.T. style camshaft.
4) Original engines from 1966 to 1969 require a special generator camshaft with 1984-1999 style cams.
