S&S, Twin Cam breather valve

Reed-type breather filter for the S&S oil pump, compatible with all S&S T-series (Twin Cam style) engines and the OEM pump on 2003-2010 OEM engines. It solves common problems on OEM engines such as oil carry-over (oil being expelled through the breather system), a frequent problem for years. It usually occurs at sustained high speeds and is more severe on large-displacement engines. This problem can also be present on OEM Twin Cam engines. S&S designed this aluminium crankcase breather valve with four steel reed valves, which effectively prevents excessive turbulence in the cam chest and rocker boxes. Air and oil mist can escape from the crankcase, but cannot re-enter. Any oil expelled by the crankcase breather is stopped. A slight increase in power (one to two HP) and torque can be expected. The breather valve installs onto the pinion shaft, inside the pinion bearing housing, and is secured between the bearing outer retaining ring and the oil pump.
