With short travel lifter set. The Feuling Race series 'Short Travel' lifters have a shorter travel (0.115"), keeping the engine quiet. The reduced travel decreases the amount of lifter collapse and the oil needed to fill the inside of the lifter, reducing oil aeration inside the lifter on fast-acting, high-lift camshafts.
The kit includes everything needed to refurbish the lower end. Oil pump, cam plate, tappet/rocker arm assembly and gasket set. A great improvement and the perfect foundation when fitting a set of high-performance camshafts.
The kit includes: camshaft bearing 588035, Race series lifter set 707358, Race series oil pump 707378, red anodised high-flow camshaft plate 588056.
The FEULING OIL COOLED RACE SERIES lubrication system kit with short-travel lifters combines all the components needed to complete the lubrication system of your M8 engine under a single part number. FEULING lubrication system kits increase oil pressure, oil volume, engine oil flow and oil return scavenge.

The RACE SERIES kits include: a RACE SERIES oil pump, RACE SERIES short travel hydraulic tappets, high-flow cam plate and camshaft installation kit, camshaft bearings, camshaft/crankshaft bolts and washers, engine assembly lubricant and fasteners.
FEULING's high-flow forged cam plate is made from 7075 aluminium, which is 50% harder and stronger than factory cam plates. FEULING increases oil flow and volume by enlarging the oil pump pockets and critical oil passages, including matching the oil port holes throughout the cam plate to the oil port holes in the crankcase, increasing engine oil flow to the lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft and connecting rod bearings.
FEULING oil pumps are bench tested; the relief valve is seated and sealed at a minimum of 30 psi with full opening at 55-60 psi. The greater oil volume from the larger gears and correctly sized passages, along with the seating and seal of the pressure relief valve in these oil pumps, is essential for the correct operation of the lubrication system. The combination of the FEULING oil pump and cam plate eliminates the common pressure and scavenging problems associated with factory lubrication systems.
Due to the large volume of calls and enquiries requesting the O-ring/cover seal groove on the M8 oil pump rear cover, we have added the groove (11/05/21). Although Feuling's in-house testing on healthy engines showed no benefit. The O-ring may have potential benefits in certain circumstances, such as engines with greater compression loss per cylinder, poor sealing of the sub-seal O-ring, elevated crankcase bore and/or crankcase plug (see M8 PRO TIP below) and wider clearances between the lifter and lifter bore.
- RACE SERIES kits include a hard-anodised 7075 forged oil pump, which is 50% harder and stronger than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature. M8 RACE SERIES oil pumps have deeper suction kidneys compared to the HP+ kidneys for greater suction volume.
The RACE SERIES short-travel hydraulic lifters have a total travel of .115", designed with a slower bleed rate to handle high valve spring pressures, increase engine RPM before valve float, and feature greater roller clearance for camshafts with steep ramps and clearance for the front exhaust lobe flange of the M8 camshaft.

OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT EXCEED THE OIL TANK OIL LEVEL It is important to obtain the correct hot oil level on your bike. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.
Note: The M8 oil sump is on the right-hand side of the engine. Letting the bike idle or warm up on the side stand will naturally fill the sump and distort the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike whilst it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading) 4. Once the motorbike is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
