FEULING M8 Central/Water-Cooled cam chest kits include all necessary components from the top to the bottom of the chest, conveniently packaged under a single part number (#). These combined kits not only ensure that each individual part is designed to work and function together, but to do so in perfect harmony. These cam chest kits eliminate the guesswork from the ordering process and guarantee the engine builder maximum reliability, optimum performance and the lowest possible engine and oil temperatures.

Due to the high volume of calls and enquiries requesting the groove for the O-ring/seal on the M8 oil pump rear cover, we have added the groove! (11/05/21). Although Feuling's in-house testing on healthy engines showed no benefit. The O-ring could have potential benefits in certain circumstances, such as engines with increased cylinder-by-cylinder compression loss, poor sealing of the sub-seal O-ring, elevated crankcase breather hole and/or crankcase plug (see M8 PRO TIP below) and wider clearances between the lifter and lifter bore.
487 CAM - Bolt-in. Hot rod style camshaft, ideal for 114" and 117" engines looking to get the most out of their motor. Strong idle hit. Keeps the power in the lower end and pulls hard above 2,950 RPM compared to stock. Responds very well to increased bore or compression. A high-flow exhaust system and air filter are highly recommended for optimum performance. FEULING recommends pairing this cam with our RACE SERIES lubrication system.

The kits include: FEULING high-volume oil pump, high-flow CNC machined aluminium cam plate, REAPER Series camshaft, short-travel roller hydraulic lifters, fixed-length pushrods, TIMKEN/KOYO cam bearings, rocker studs and nuts, gaskets, O-rings, ARP cam/crankshaft fasteners, washers, molybdenum lubricant and LOCTITE.
- The RACE SERIES Kits include a RACE SERIES lubrication system: 7075 machined aluminium oil pump, RACE SERIES lifters, high-flow 7075 machined aluminium cam plate.
• CNC-machined 7075 aluminium oil pump that is 50% harder and stronger than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature, deeper scavenging sections than the HP+ oil pump.
• Deeper suction kidney ports than the HP+ series for greater suction flow volume.
• The RACE SERIES hydraulic lifters have a .200" total travel, designed with a slower bleed rate to handle high valve spring pressures, increase engine RPM before valve float and feature greater roller clearance for aggressive ramp camshafts and clearance for the M8 front exhaust cam lobe flange.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK It is important to achieve the correct hot oil level on your bike. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.
Note: The M8 oil drain plug is on the right-hand side of the engine. Leaving the motorbike idling or warming it up on the side stand will naturally fill the crankcase and skew the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike whilst it is in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading)
4. Once the motorbike is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
