JIMS billet Big Axle Power Glide tappet block kits

These tappet block kits for Evolution engines are manufactured to improve upon the original design of the tappets and tappet blocks. Machined with CNC machinery from 7075-T651 quality billet aluminium, which has a tensile strength 3 times higher than the cast aluminium used in the original design. These tappet blocks are machined true to the centre of the camshaft, within a tolerance of .002". The bores are also controlled to be perpendicular to the mounting surface, within a tolerance of .0002". These tappet blocks have been designed for .550 valve lift (measured at the valve). This means approximately .350" of tappet travel, leaving .035 clearance for the roller to bottom out. If you want to use a camshaft with more lift you must modify the tappet blocks (a fairly simple modification). This set can work with almost all camshafts with a small base circle and .600" lift. If you add the quality of the "Jims Big Axle" tappets you'll see that this set is the best money can buy. The kits are supplied complete with: front and rear tappet blocks, 4 Big Axle Power Glide tappets, tappet block gaskets and bolts. Available for stock or aftermarket Evolution Big Twin crankcases, from 1984 to 1999.
