Hybrid Cam chain upgrade for Twin Cam 1999-2006

This kit upgrades the cam chain tensioner on your Twin Cam 88 engine to the design used in Twin Cam 96 engines. The cam support plate has been designed to allow installation of the hydraulic cam chain tensioner on models equipped with Twin Cam 96 to 88. It is significantly tougher than spring tensioners, and is a great addition to an engine with performance upgrades. 
 The 1999-2001 models with the original cam position sensor function do not use the front roller chain and sprocket wheel as supplied in the kit, but they can be used when upgrading to a performance ignition that does not use the cam position sensor. The single-row front roller chain and sprocket wheel are used on all Softail and Touring 2002-2006 and Dyna 2002-2005. The kit comes complete with cam chain tensioners and a high-flow oil pump that provides increased oil pressure at high operating temperatures. Compared to your original pump, the oil supply is increased by 23% and scavenging by 50%, and it reduces the operating temperature of the bearings to improve their service life.
