S&S, 124" Twin Cam Hot Tune kit with cylinder heads. Silver

Silver aluminium finish. Upgrade your stock 96" or 103" engine to 124" displacement. The kit includes stroke flywheels, big bore cylinders and flat-top piston kit offering a 10.8:1 compression ratio with the included 91cc high-flow heads. The Easy Start 640 gear cams provide the necessary lift to allow this engine to breathe, but guarantee easy starting with the stock starter and battery.
Note 1: The stock crankcases must be machined to accept the 4-1/8" big bore cylinders. The kit adds 0.096" to the engine height.
Note 2: Will build a serious high performance engine. Therefore, it is not compatible with the stock ignition and stock throttle bodies (too small). A large throttle body is required, such as the S&S 58mm single bore unit 558678, and a high performance ECU. Carburetted engines will require an ignition system with adjustable advance curves and a large carburettor, such as the S&S Super G or similar. The kits are machined to be compatible with standard length stock manifolds.
Note 3: S&S recommends the JIMS MCS 978519 crankcase bearing insert for 03-17 Twin Cam models to replace the stock roller bearing with the stronger old-style Timken bearing. See MCS 978517 for the required JIMS tool. The correct Timken bearing can be ordered as MCS 508960 / OEM 9028.
