S&S, long TC engine block, 4-1/8" bore, 124" length. Black/chrome

Black/Chrome. Low-compression engine. Low compression is less susceptible to detonation and provides a longer engine life. The engine includes forged pistons with a 10.2:1 compression ratio dished crown and 585GP easy-start camshafts. The engine is sold as a 'Long Block', meaning they are engines without intake or ignition components. Any high-performance intake system that fits an original engine will fit the S&S 124", as S&S specially machined the heads to compensate for the cylinder length. Air filters and breathers compatible with the original will also fit.
Note: Sold as a 'Long Block' engine. Carburettor, throttle body, manifold, ignition and charging system are not included.
Note: A large throttle body and a high-performance ECU are required for best performance. Carburetted engines will require an ignition system with adjustable advance curves and a large carburettor, such as the S&S Super G or similar.
Note: Dyna 99-05 requires oil line installation kit 902298, which is no longer available. Custom installation is required.
Note: 99-06 Touring requires the 902299 oil line installation kit.
Note: The charging system requires an old-style pinion shaft spacer (MCS 591077) of 1.750" outside diameter x 1.255" inside diameter x 1.095" thick.
