The FEULING M8 oil-centred/water-cooled camchest kits include all the components needed from the top to the bottom of the chest, conveniently packaged under a single part number (#). These combined kits not only ensure that each individual part is designed to work and function together, but that they do so in total harmony. These camchest kits eliminate uncertainty in the ordering process and guarantee the engine builder maximum reliability, optimum performance and the lowest possible engine and oil temperatures.

Due to the high volume of calls and enquiries with requests for the retainer/O-ring groove in the M8 oil pump rear cover, we have added the groove! (11/05/21). Although Feuling's internal testing on healthy engines showed no benefit. The O-ring may have potential benefits in certain circumstances, such as engines with greater cylinder compression loss, poor subsleeve O-ring sealing, elevated crankcase hole and/or crankcase plug (see M8 PRO TIP below) and wider clearances between the rocker and the rocker housing.
The 465 Camchest kits are available in FEULING HP+ and RACE SERIES combinations with chain-driven REAPER camshafts.
465 CAM - The Reaper 465 is a throttle monster, producing solid low-range performance with substantial gains above 2,800 RPM compared to stock. This direct replacement for M8 engines can be used with stock valve springs, pushrods, rocker arms and exhaust. It will respond well with slip-on mufflers and/or high-performance exhaust system and air filter. The use of high-performance valve springs is not mandatory, but may result in a quieter, smoother valvetrain. See Feuling #1107. This camshaft will also respond well to an increase in displacement and/or compression.

The kits include: FEULING high volume oil pump, HIGH FLOW machined aluminium cam plate, REAPER Series camshaft, hydraulic roller rocker arms, fixed length pushrods, TIMKEN/KOYO cam bearings, rocker blocks and nuts, gaskets, O-rings, ARP camshaft/crankshaft fasteners, washers, molybdenum lubricant and LOCTITE.
- The RACE SERIES Kits include a RACE SERIES lubrication system: 7075 machined aluminium oil pump, RACE SERIES rocker arms, 7075 machined aluminium HIGH FLOW cam plate.
• Machined 7075 aluminium oil pump that is 50% harder and more durable than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature, with deeper scavenge rotors than the HP+ oil pump.
• Deeper suction kidney ports than the HP+ series for greater suction flow volume.
• The SERIE CARRERA hydraulic roller rockers have a .200" total travel designed with a slower bleed rate to handle high valve spring pressures, increase engine RPM before valve float and feature increased roller clearance for aggressive ramp camshafts and clearance for the front M8 exhaust camshaft lobe flange.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK It is important to achieve the correct hot oil level on your motorbike. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.
Note: The M8 oil scavenger port is on the right-hand side of the engine. Letting the bike idle or warm up on its side stand will naturally raise the engine case and skew the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike while it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading) 4. Once the motorbike is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
