The standard size is 0.8420" to 0.8423" outer diameter (OD).
Revolutionary new design with 0.115" total travel compared to a full-travel lifter with 0.200". These hydraulic lifters will increase RPM by reducing valve float and valve train harmonics, whilst keeping the engine quiet. The reduced travel decreases the amount of oil needed to fill the inside of the lifter, reducing oil aeration inside the lifter on high-lift, fast-acting cams.
NOTE: when there is oil aeration inside the lifter, the pushrod seat drops when the lifter rolls over the front ramp of the camshaft after compressing the aeration, thus creating a noisy and low-performance lifter.
Feuling short travel lifters must be set with 0.065" - 0.070" preload and, with normal engine heat growth, the operational preload of the lifter will be at or around mid-travel.
Machined from a steel body and designed to exceed the needs of high-lift camshafts and increased valve spring pressures, with a slower bleed rate. The RACE series tappets maintain proper oil flow to the top end, increase engine RPM, valvetrain stability, reduce valve float and promote maximum valve lift.
Feuling recommends Race series lifters for engines exceeding 185 lbs. valve spring seat pressure. FEULING recommends the use of a high-volume oil pump, which will result in quieter, better-performing lifters. Race series lifters are compatible with FEULING HP+ or Race series oil pumps and are designed for use in both street and track engines. Developed on the Spin-Tron dynamometer and track tested, made in the USA.
