S&S, Shovel to Panhead head conversion kit

Standard 3-1/2" bore. Used for Shovelhead engines with Panhead-style heads. Head conversion kit for 1966-1984 Shovelheads. These are Panhead-look heads, similar to those used by S&S on their P-series engines. They are really S&S Shovelhead-based heads fitted only with Panhead-style rocker covers, so the assembly is basically identical to that done with S&S Shovelhead heads. The cam drive system is based on the Evo Big Twin, so Evo hydraulic units, Evo machined aluminium tappet guides, Quickee push rods with through-the-rod upper lubrication, special P-series rocker shafts, rocker armature and S&S Shovelhead roller rockers are used. Compatible with Shovelhead cylinders as they use the same head bolt pattern and the same stock Shovelhead-style fire ring. Stock Shovelhead O-ring-style intake manifolds can be used for the intake. The exhaust mounting is also stock Shovelhead style. The heads come complete with valves and a 0.590" lift valve spring kit installed. The kit comes complete as shown.
Note: One or more of the following parts may need to be ordered separately:
1) O-ring style manifold 66-E78.
2) Standard 70-E78 engines require an L78-87 style pinion sprocket as an Evo B.T. camshaft must be used.
3) Evo B.T. style camshaft 84-99.
4) Stock 66-69 engines require a special generator camshaft with 84-99 style cams.
