Both the HP+ and RACE SERIES kits include the FEULING high-flow camplate made from 7075 aluminium, which is 50% harder and stronger than the original factory camplates or Feuling's OE+ ones. FEULING increases oil flow and volume by enlarging the oil pump reservoirs and critical oil passages, including matching the oil port holes throughout the camplate with the port holes in the engine crankcase, which increases engine oil flow to the lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft and connecting rod bearings.
FEULING oil pumps are bench tested; the relief valve is seated and sealed at a minimum of 30 psi, with full opening at 55-60 psi. The greater oil volume from the larger gears and correctly sized passages, together with the seating and sealing of the pressure relief valve in these oil pumps, is essential for the correct operation of the lubrication system. The combination of the FEULING oil pump and cam plate eliminates the common pressure and scavenge problems associated with stock lubrication systems.
HP+ SERIES kits include a machined 6061 aluminium high volume oil pump, the high flow FEULING cam plate and assembly lubricant.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK It is important to reach the correct hot oil level on your motorcycle. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.
Note: The M8 oil scavenge port is located on the right-hand side of the engine. Letting the motorcycle warm up at idle with the side stand up will naturally fill the engine sump and skew the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorcycle whilst it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading) 4. Once the motorcycle is on its side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.
