FEULING M8 oil-cooled cam box kits include all the components needed from the top to the bottom of the cam box, conveniently packaged under a single part number. These combined kits not only ensure that every individual part is designed to work and function together, but to do so in perfect harmony. These cam box kits take the guesswork out of the ordering process and guarantee the engine builder maximum reliability, optimum performance and the lowest possible engine and oil temperatures.• Quieter, smoother engine operation • Increased oil pressure, scavenging volume and engine oil flow • 27% more pressure and scavenging gear volume compared to stock equipment • 42% more scavenging volume with port, passage and bore sizing matched to the engine case • 46% more oil volume to the crankshaft and rod bearing • Engine temperatures 15-25 degrees cooler • Oil temperatures 15-30 degrees cooler • 10-30 PSI additional oil pressure • Reduces wet sumping, blow-by and oily air filters • Magnets in the oil pump to help protect the gears and pressure relief valve • Test results show a 2 HP and 2 ft/lbs. rear wheel torque gain on Milwaukee Eight • NOTE: Feuling testing shows a 50% reduction in engine crankcase oil level.
CAMS 465 - The 465 Reaper is a torque-boosting cam, producing solid low-range performance with substantial gains above 2,800 RPM compared to stock. This direct replacement for M8 engines can be used with stock valve springs, pushrods, lifters and exhaust. It will respond well with slip-on mufflers and/or a high-performance exhaust system and air filter. The use of high-performance valve springs is not mandatory, but may result in a quieter, smoother valve train. See Feuling #1107. This cam will also respond well to an increase in displacement and/or compression.
The kits include: FEULING high volume oil pump, high-flow alloy cam plate, REAPER Series camshaft, hydraulic roller lifters, fixed length pushrods, TIMKEN/KOYO cam bearings, rocker studs and nuts, gaskets, O-rings, ARP cam/crankshaft fasteners, washers, molybdenum lubricant and LOCTITE.
The Race Series kits include a Race Series lubrication system: 7075 alloy oil pump, Race Series lifters, high-flow 7075 alloy aluminium cam plate.
• 7075 alloy aluminium oil pump that is 50% harder and more durable than the factory pump, maintaining tighter tolerances under temperature and deeper suction kidneys than the HP+ oil pump.
• Deeper suction kidney ports than the HP+ series for greater suction flow volume.
• The Race Series hydraulic lifters have a .200" total travel designed with a slower bleed rate to handle high valve spring pressures, increase engine RPM before valve float and feature increased roller clearance for aggressive ramp camshafts and clearance for the front M8 exhaust camshaft lobe flange.Due to the high volume of calls and enquiries requesting the O-ring/seal groove on the rear cover of the M8 oil pump, Feuling added the groove (11/05/21). Although Feuling's internal testing on healthy engines showed no benefit. The O-ring may have potential benefits in certain circumstances, such as engines with higher cylinder compression loss, poor secondary seal O-ring, elevated crankcase breather hole and/or crankcase plug (see M8 PRO TIP below) and looser lifter-to-lifter bore clearances.
OIL LEVEL NOTE - DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK.
It is important to obtain the correct hot oil level on your motorcycle. Feuling recommends keeping the oil level at 90%-99% of capacity when hot.Note: The M8 oil suction port is on the right-hand side of the engine. Letting the bike idle or warm up on its side stand will naturally raise the engine case and skew the oil level in the tank.
We recommend the following steps to achieve the correct oil level:
1. Check the oil level when cold.
2. Ride the motorcycle until it reaches operating temperature.
3. Switch off the motorbike while it is still in an upright position. (This ensures an accurate reading).
4. Once the motorcycle is on the side stand, check the oil level.
5. Add or remove oil as necessary.EXEMPT FROM EMISSIONS ALTERATION REGULATIONS UNDER CARB EO# D-881-1, legal in all 50 states, per CARB: CARB EO# D-881-1.
Feuling does not recommend adjusting beyond stock emissions standards.
